Hygene Treatments
An expert dentistry in the heart of Budapest! Listen to us, it's worth it!
The dangers inherent in tartar formation cannot be emphasized enough. In fact, the vast majority of tooth-preserving treatments would not be necessary at all if everyone paid enough attention to dental care at home and did not forget to have their teeth and oral hygiene checked at least every 6 months.
Not everyone is equally prone to tartar formation. Unfortunately, for some patients, tartar remains a recurring problem even if they conscientiously clean their teeth after every meal, according to their best intentions and knowledge. The rate of tartar formation depends on our general health, the composition of our saliva, our diet and, of course, our brushing habits. Congested teeth are very difficult to keep properly clean, and we cannot reach the tartar under the gums with home tools. Tartar can therefore form on our teeth even with great care.
Why is regular tartar removal important?
Tartar accumulated in the mouth can actually be the cause of many more problems than we first think. Tartar may be the cause if you experience the following:
- Bad breath
- Red, swollen gums
- Bleeding gums when brushing
- Loose, movable teeth
In addition, tartar can cause not only unpleasant symptoms, but also underlying diseases:
- Gingivitis
- Periodontitis
- Nodule disease
These problems are behind the early loss of teeth in the majority of cases. Therefore, if we want to ensure the long-term preservation of our teeth, it is more than recommended that we pay attention to our oral hygiene, and for this it is inevitable to involve the appropriate specialist (dentist and/or clinical dental hygienist).
